How I Use Cold Email to Land 3–5 Consulting Clients Every Month

When people ask me how I grow my agency, they usually expect me to say Instagram, referrals, or paid ads. The real answer surprises them: cold email.

Over the past 2 years, I’ve sent more than 10,000 cold emails through ReachInbox and it’s become the most consistent client acquisition channel I have. Every month, 3 to 5 new clients come in through outreach. That’s an extra $4,000 to $5,000 in monthly revenue, month after month.

Here’s how I think about it and what actually made it work.

The Problem With Most Cold Email

Cold email has a reputation problem. Most people try it, get buried in spam folders, and give up. The issue usually isn’t the copy or the targeting it’s deliverability. If your emails don’t land in the primary inbox, nothing else matters.

What Changed: Warming + Rotation

The two features that transformed my results were inbox warming and inbox rotation.

My Outreach Framework

The technical setup matters, but so does the message. Here’s the rough structure I use:

  • Line 1: A specific observation about the prospect (not generic flattery)
  • Lines 2–3: One concrete result I’ve achieved for a similar client
  • CTA: A single, low-friction ask — usually a 15-minute call

Short. Specific. Easy to say yes to.

The Numbers After 2 Years

  • 10,000+ emails sent
  • 3–5 new clients/month consistently
  • $4,000–$5,000 in additional monthly revenue

Cold email isn’t dead. Spam is dead. There’s a difference and the right infrastructure is what separates them.
